The local rules
The Capital Regional District permits e-bikes on all regional trails including the Galloping Goose and Lochside, provided they meet BC's motor-assisted-cycle definition (pedals, ≤500 W, assist to 32 km/h); faster or throttle-only devices are prohibited, and riders must keep right and yield.

How it rides
Exceptional infrastructure: the paved Galloping Goose (~55 km) and Lochside (~29 km) Regional Trails funnel commuters downtown, connecting to a protected all-ages-and-abilities bike-lane network in the core.
