Comfort & Access Editor

Walt Brenner

Step-thrus · trikes · low-speed stability · weight & mounting

Walt spent a working life around machines and now covers the bikes built for getting on and staying upright — step-throughs, trikes, and everything an older rider or a nervous beginner actually needs.

He names the weight and the step-over height before the wattage, and translates the jargon in the same breath he uses it. A machinist’s respect for how a thing is built runs under every piece: he notices the welds, the fasteners, and whether you can actually service it.

Name the weight first. The motor won’t lift the bike into your garage — you will.

The beat

The comfort desk — step-thrus, trikes, stability, and accessible design.

Every desk owns one slice of the market and reads it in its own register. Walt’s judgment lives in the prose and never touches the arithmetic — the market index that sits beside the writing is built by a separate data desk, on the methodology.
