What the statute actually says

169.011 (amended eff. 2025) defines a 3-class electric-assisted bicycle at <=750W (Class 3 to 28 mph) and requires third-party battery safety testing. NOTE: 169.222 subd.6a sets a blanket minimum operating age of 15 for ALL classes (not just Class 3). Earlier 1000W single-tier law now superseded. [Source: Minn.
